AGRICUL TURE 1st RESPONSE About US GPS

Skies the limit for Aerotech

South Australian owned and operated Aerotech Pty Ltd is preparing to take to the skies to protect families and landowners during the coming fire season, topping off a huge year for the company.
Aerotech, which provides the state’s frontline defence in bushfires (Aerotech 1st Response), has added new infrastructure, business streams, staff and operating locations in 2011.
“The company has achieved 10-15% growth per annum for the past five years and this year in particular there has been a real diversification in our expansion,” said Aerotech Managing Director Sam McCabe.
The company added a new division in 2011, Aerotech GPS, having successfully negotiated the rights to be the Australian dealer of SATLOC precision GPS systems for aerial guidance.
“SATLOC are the most reliable and widely-used systems in agricultural aircraft worldwide and we are tremendously excited to be involved.
Aerotech GPS will specialize in providing systems, part, service and repairs from the company’s Parafield Airport base.
In addition to building a new division of the company, Aerotech has also successfully expanded its agriculture business with the acquisition of two established aerial agriculture businesses at Cummins on the Eyre Peninsula and Arthurton on the
Yorke Peninsula.
“With these new and exciting acquisitions Aerotech Agriculture is now able to offer agricultural services across the entire state, giving customer access to a larger, more efficient fleet of aircraft”.
Aerotech Managing Director Sam McCabe said the continued success has not come without hard work and investment.
“We are committed to ensuring Aerotech continues to be a market leader by regularly updating our systems and technologies to ensure we are at the forefront of new developments within the industry,’’ Mr McCabe said.
Reflective of the company’s commitment to innovation and world-leading technology is a new addition to its firefighting fleet for this summer.
“Aerotech 1st Response is centered on providing the most effective aerial fighting strategies, the best-trained pilots and support staff, and the most technologically advanced equipment,’’ Mr McCabe said.
“The new AT802F, which we’ve added to the fleet for upcoming fire season, has a bigger and more powerful Pratt and Whitney PT6 engine. “It will add further grunt to our current fleet of 4 ‘’ powerful aircraft, which provide pinpoint accuracy in fire-bombing and will be a welcome asset,” Mr McCabe said.
“It has a more powerful engine which allows for faster turn around times and ferry speeds, as well as shorter take off distances”.
Since 2007, Aerotech has doubled in size and now has bases in Kent Town (head office), Parafield, South Australia’s South East, North East, Yorke Peninsula, West Coast and Mid North, and the Northern.
“We’re servicing the needs of the community better than ever before - whether that be in maintenance, agricultural, firefighting, oil spill response or GPS.
“Aerotech is a family business that has been built on hard work, innovation and providing the best in service and delivery – we are focused on continuing that legacy”.
